Let Them Knock
Undoubtedly, one of my favourite albums of this year was Amy Winehouse's Back to Black. I fell in love with the 60's funk/soul revival immediately. But now I know why it was so good. I present to you - Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, the spearheads of the funk/soul revivalist movement. The Dap-Kings worked on six of the eleven songs on Back to Black, and even became her backing band on her first U.S. tour.
Dare I say that Ms. Jones' voice might even put Ms. Winehouse to shame.

The ablum that came out before this one (I believe iti's called "Dap-Dippin' With Sharon Jones) is wayyyyyy funkier. Check it out and I swear you won't be disappointed. Or, if you play your cards right, maybe I'll burn you a copy and bring it to Jane's Xmas bash!
Oh AK, you truly are my godfather of soul.
Can't wait to see you!
I'll agree with the K, then I agree with you: Sharon's voice is better than Amy's.
