Your Life

So, I guess I wasn't clear enough with my engagement announcement post. I did in fact get engaged, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Firstly, because I get to marry the man of my dreams, and secondly, I get to PLAN something. O, the thrill of organization!

Right now I'm working on my colour palette for the wedding, and I simply love COLOURlovers as a tool to help me figure it all out. I think I'm going relatively simple, but as a interior design enthusiast as well, I know that I'll be keeping this page in my bookmarks for years to come.

You are too sweet! I will probably post a picture of the ring on my Flickr or my website, which you can get to through my profile.

And I got vintage of course! He picked out the most stunning art-deco white gold diamond ring from the 30's. I can't stop staring at it!!!

Ok saving official congratulations for a more appropriate long-distance medium (ugh MSN? Email? Flickr comments? This is so weird!) but I had to say favourite way to pick a palette...

take a photograph or painting or dress or poster or website or anything visual that you love and pixelate the SHIT out of it in photoshop. Colour swatches galore! Plus they are natural and unique combinations that cannot be found on a pantone swatch.

Totally stole this from Joshua Davis (digital artist extraordinare) but like what a cool idea!

P.S I was one of those idiots who totally didn't pick up on the clues... Dan had to enlighten me days later. And I even commented on that post! Post photos soon...
