As an English student I do a lot of reading, and many of my readings are classic novels written by people who have died a long time ago. It isn't always the most exciting stuff, except when I discover something weird about the personal life of the author. For example, did you know that D.H. Lawrence was smothered and favored by his mother?
Nothing I've discovered about any author this far compares to my James Joyce discovery. Get a load of Joyce's love letters to his lover Nora. These aren't just love letters, they are more like freaky lusty letters, seriously these rival anything you might find in a present day Hustler or Maxim magazine. The letters are pretty graphic so if you aren't into that sort of thing, be warned!
Who knew Joyce was such a freak; it is hard to believe that these letters were written almost 100 years ago.
