I'm not even kidding about this; I think someone owes Hollie and I money for this bag. It has been our motto for the last year. Actually, if we're going to get specific, someone owes Maurice, the man who told us he chose not to participate in the 1980's recession some money as well.
As a child, Flickr user On the set would visit different Hollywood television sets, and since it was forbidden to take pictures, he would go home and RECREATE THEM. They are the most amazing thing I've seen in a while.
Five-year plan, be damned. I'm going to start trying to conceive immediately after discovering all the cute vintage childrens clothing at Nomi Vintage.
Sorry Jane, I'll have to go on maternity leave now.
Nothing to see here folks. Nothing except another update over at White Elephant Vintage and the Etsy Shop, full of wondrous vintage goods. Nothing to see at all.
Hollie and I are in the middle of working on tonight's update, which should be coming shortly. Actually, to be perfectly honest, Hollie is at a bee keeping workshop, and will work on her part of the update when she gets back. She's not slacking... she worked on a bunch earlier today while I was in Niagara Falls. On the Maid of the Mist. How is is that I have lived my whole life only 45 minutes from Niagara Falls and never gone on the Maid of the Mist? It's insane! It went right up to the falls and we got soaked, and I started yelling "WATERBOARDING! WATERBOARDING!!!" in honor of Barbara Walters, only I don't think anyone got it. I wanted to show the video I'm referencing here, but I can't find it anywhere on youtube. Here's a link instead... it's #6: Waterboarding!
Speaking of celebrities, I walked beside Kevin Spacey today. It was weird. Later as I was sitting at my desk at my other part time job, he started filming a scene outside of my window. An old woman I work with wanted to bring him cookies, and I tried to make her promise to say “Pay it Forward” as she gave it to him, but I don’t think she’s going to.
So anyway… we are a little bit behind with the update because we have friends in town from Nova Scotia and Portugal. They are the same friends we went to visit when we got ROBBED. As a way of saying sorry, here is a video of Hollie and I singing really terribly on my birthday in March. I was plastered. Hollie was moderately plastered. We have a video but youtube isn't letting us put it up. WHAT GIVES?
Also — are you aware that Hollie is an internet sensation. Are you, internet???
A sneak peek of the new salt & pepper shakers coming to Jonathan Adler. Someone break out my cheque book. Or my credit card. Or any form of payment I can use that isn't currently maxed out please. Via: Shelteriffic
I'm still on a major doll kick right now, and some of the more adorable ones that I've found on Etsy are from little BIG pants. The Audrey and Oliver characters are so sweet in their different outfits for different outings, how could you not fall in love with them?
I generally steer away from anything kitten related in my accessories, because when you live alone with two cats, it's generally best to avoid the crazy cat lady label. But these adorable brooches by Allira Tee make me want to cover myself with kitten brooches, and start feeding the pigeons in the park too.
Seychelles is quickly becoming one of my favourite brands of footwear. And with those three pairs as examples above, I don't think I have to go into much more detail as to why.
I know that between the two of us, Hollie and I basically post a series of dresses every day... but can you really blame us? With all the simple summer dresses for sale at Mod Cloth right now, I certainly can't.
