This morning when I got to work at my part-time job, there was a little bird sitting in between the two front doors to my office. He looked so sad and lonely, but we figured he just came in accidentally, so we put him back outside.
About 15 minutes later, we checked on him and realized he hadn't moved. Poor little guy has an injured wing ... he's bleeding! So so sad. We put him in a cardboard box that we filled with some newspaper, gave him some breadcrumbs, and he's currently hanging out in our back room.
Later today, a lovely friend of ours who happens to rescue birds is coming to pick him up and try to nurse him back to health. I hope she is successful.
It's weird, I don't really like birds all that much, but from the second we picked him up I have been non-stop stressed about this poor helpless fella.
Tragic update: our poor little fella did not make it.

I'm so glad you saved this little guy and know someone who helps birds. He's very lucky he ended up where he did.
ReplyDeleteAw, so sad!! But at least he ended up dying in a relatively comfortable way, thanks to you!
