I don't want to brag or anything, but I think that Jane and I threw a pretty good Hootenanny on Friday. At least everybody who stopped by seemed to enjoy it. In typical fashion, I didn't actually get many photos of our setup. Total bummer.
Jane and I were too busy inside, so we delegated the outdoor responsibilities to Mike and Ryan (who did a GREAT JOB!) and we were surprised with a handful of other helpers, namely Mike's brother Daryl and his wife Allison. It was awesome not to have to worry about it, because the inside was packed. So I didn't ever get a chance to go out while it was dark and see the setup all lit up. We had vintage style bulb string lights above our store, lights along the wire of the vacant storefront next to us, hay bales, watermelon, lemonade, a performance by Fiddlin' Katie and Stoney, tables and chairs and old jugs filled with flowers by Westdale Florists.
Did anyone take any photos once it got dark or know of anyone who took any? Please send them our way! I'm totally kicking myself.
We definitely should have brought our camera. Blast! Such a fun night. Allison and I loved helping out. Let's do it again!!
