Carnival

This past Saturday, the Mardi Gras Parade went right down James Street. Sales wise, having a parade on the street actually translates to a slow day, but I didn't mind at all: it was amazing.


The Mardi Gras Parade & Carnival is Hamilton's own version of Toronto's Caribana. It's on a much smaller scale, but the energy and excitement is creates is on par with any major festival.



This was the first year I've got to see the parade, and having a storefront right on the main route made for an awesome Saturday afternoon. Add this on to the list of one more reason I love James St North.
