Yes, We Can

This past weekend, I hosted another pickling party with the help of the lovely Thea. This time around we had a bunch of new faces, which included Meg and Melanie, as well as a return visit from Kate. We made sixteen jars of pickles, and fourteen jars of a delicious zucchini confetti relish. Cucumbers and zucchini freshly picked from the farm that morning by Thea and I.

Melanie and her husband, Jesse, have an adorable blog, Crackers, which documents their quest to get out of the supermarket. The National Post's Appetizer section picked them up, and they post their "field trips" there. You can check out their post on the Post about our pickling party here.

  1. I love home grown zucchini (courgettes! courgettes!). Apparently you can stuff the flowers and deep fry them, which sounds delicious – one day when I have a garden!
