Alley Cat

A couple of weeks ago my darling cat Atticus came home in the morning looking like this. I don’t think the picture does an adequate job of showing just how filthy and oil-covered he was, but it was really a sight.
Enter: bath time! He actually needed two baths: first we tried with a regular cat shampoo, and when that didn’t work he needed a second one with some gentle dish soap. By the time we were finished there was a ring of black oil around the bath tub.
Lucky for me, Atticus is the most docile and gentle cat I’ve ever owned or met. I think he also realized just how filthy he was, because he just stood in the bathtub calmly for most of the ordeal, not even trying to escape.
Look at that face!

Awww cute! Ranger and Roxy would constantly be trying to escape and soak the entire bathroom (we always had to towel off the WALLPAPER)

Your cat in highschool would NOT STAND FOR THAT.

aww cat baths ! i found out if you make the water pretty hot (cats have high body temperatures than humans) then they all pretty much just sit there and enjoy it. There is however, a time limit.

ahhhhhhh! so cute!
cat baths are the best.
my cat loves them. he purrs while he's in the water.

hope atticus learns his lesson!

What an adorable kitty! My cat frequently comes in covered in god only knows what, but I haven't had to bathe him yet but I think he'd be quite calm and docile like Atticus seeing how Louis tries to get in the shower with me on a regular basis. I've never owned a cat with no fear of water, and he's a big ginger tom cat! x

Aww!!! I'm totally impressed with Atticus. Last time we tried to give the cat a bath she howled the entire time, and then tore a hole in my leggings trying to escape.

Very, very weird coincidence - my cat is also named Atticus! But he's grey. And has some attitude but mostly is a complete mushball. And loves to sleep right on top of the heating vents. Smart boy.
