What Makes A Garden Grow, Grow, Grow?

I'm a terrible gardener, but I'm actually an alright baker. Now, if you had the same traits as I, wouldn't you just be drooling all over this super cute Garden Patch Cakelet Pan from Williams-Sonoma??!?!?!?

Answer: Yes, you would.

Welcome To The Night Sky

Do you know what is infinity times cooler than those glow-in-the-dark stars that you stick to your ceiling? Your own Personal Planetarium!!!!

It's not even funny how much I want this.

Short Circuit

Earlier this morning, I spilled water over my entire keyboard at work. Luckily, it seems to still be functioning. For now. Because I just saw the Amenity Cove Organic Cotton Duvet - Cream & Cocoa (part of their new spring collection) and I am uncontrollably drooling over it. All over my keyboard.

Here Is My Handle, Here Is My Spout

I do believe that these best ever measuring cups from the newly opened Whiteport are aptly named. Just look at those spouts! Perfection.

Not A Heavy Book, A Light Book

UGH, while we're on the topic of birthdays, can someone PLEASE buy me The Enlightenment Book Lamp as an early birthday present for me?

Or it could be a late Easter present. Or an early Victoria Day present. I'll accept it for any occasion, really.

It's Your Birthday, It's Your Birthday Boy Or Girl

Jane, I think you should order this Bamboo Bathtub Caddy with Wine Glass Holder for your birthday, which is today. I would have bought it for you if I had seen it sooner, and if I weren't already insane with jealousy over your ability to take baths in your deep clawfoot tub. It would utterly kill me if I gave you a present which then enabled you to take long, relaxing baths in your deep clawfoot tub while reading a book and drinking a glass of wine.

I know, I know, I should just buy a plug from the dollar store and quit complaining.

Happy Birthday To Me

I think I have decided what to give myself for my birthday. (Sidenote: do we all spoil ourselves on our birthdays now? Or is that just another excuse I've given myself to shop??)

This Aqua Wall Hanging Clock from Decoy Lab is exactly what my bedroom is missing. It's beautiful and original, and I love it.

Swim So Wild And Swim So Free

Even though I love all of the Planet Earth episodes, I would definitely have to say that the Deep Sea one is my absolute favourite. In fact, I love anything Deep Sea related. Including this new Deepsea print from Eleanor Grosch. I just love all dem freaky fishies.

Turncoat

Part of me feels guilty about posting a fabulous vintage find that neither Jane and I scooped up. But then the other part of me would feel way more guilty if I didn't use my internet powers for good and let everyone know about these incredible vintage store signs from blue bell bazaar.

But seriously guys, don't buy all of them. I've got my eye on two, and am thisclose to purchasing them for my new workspace.

Together at Last

For years I maintained that I hated tea. It was only this October when my aunt served me a cup that I thought to myself "gee... I used to hate tea, but that was also back when I hated coffee. Maybe now that I love coffee, I will also like tea".

It was a bit of an awakening.

However, no matter how much I love a good cup of tea now, I still find tea bags utterly annoying and despise the drippy mess they usually leave on my counter (because I'm too lazy to use a saucer). Luckily Catching Fireflies has this ingenious Pouch Mug, to help my new found love & I grow that much closer.

Schnaaaaaaaaaaarkkkk!

AK, I know that you told Jane that posting things from White Elephant Vintage is tacky, but you know what? I don't really care. ESPECIALLY when I consider it more tacky to have your home furnished unfabulously. And ESPECIALLY coming from someone who doesn't post anymore.

So, if your home is what's actually tacky, may I suggest this gorgeous canister set? They may be the easiest way to add some class to your kitchen. And your life.

Hey By'!

I'm posting this print from The Souvenir Shop so that if traditional Newfoundland speech does really die, noone will ever forget that lovable newfie Mike Fleming and his nose tokes.

This is Not a Good Thing

So, guess what? I am about to be 100 times poor-er.

Why? Because Anthropologie now ships internationally! Hide your credit cards everyone!

Of course, now that they do ship here, you could always buy me the Pagoda Petal Dress as a birthday present!

Your Life

So, I guess I wasn't clear enough with my engagement announcement post. I did in fact get engaged, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Firstly, because I get to marry the man of my dreams, and secondly, I get to PLAN something. O, the thrill of organization!

Right now I'm working on my colour palette for the wedding, and I simply love COLOURlovers as a tool to help me figure it all out. I think I'm going relatively simple, but as a interior design enthusiast as well, I know that I'll be keeping this page in my bookmarks for years to come.

Birthday Drool

Can someone please please please ask my mom to buy me this Emma Jeff's Morrocan Tile Adhesive Window Film for my birthday? It's basically exactly what I need to say "aha! My bathroom is complete!"

My only worry, of course, is that once I started covering windows with it I wouldn't be able to stop. I would probably end up covering every window, mirror, and any other surface it would stick too. It's too beautiful.

I Don't Mind Them Diced For Some Reason

Don't really like onions. Can't eat a lot of them or else my stomach goes all wonky. I wish I liked them though, because it would be a lot easier not to have to pick them out of burgers and salads and stews. I feel bad about always leaving their mangled remains behind.

Oh, what's this? A beautiful Onionpods Pendant Lamp that I can hang in my home and show my support for little onions everywhere without having to actually ingest them? Sold.

Fairy Cake

Remember how good food would look in the old Disney Cartoon Classics? Like that time that Pluto broke into a gumball machine and ate all the pieces, I couldn't stop dreaming of bubblegum. Or when Donald Duck prepared a steak, it would look so tantalizing that I wanted to lick my television. Maybe I was just a super gluttonous kid, but these Wetter Indochine Cupcake Bowls have that same fake food perfection appeal to them, and I can't help but salivate. And lick my computer screen.

Cornaceae

It's times like these that I wish I powdered my nose because I think that this gorgeous Dogwood Flower Lidded Vessel would look absolutely stunning on a vanity, with a fancy powder puff inside.

You know what, on second thought, it would look absolutely stunning anywhere, containing anything.

Come On Baby...

The 'Light My Fire' candle dish from UO made me giggle. Tons. I would totally get into the whole idea and start roasting mini-marshmallows. On toothpicks.

Best part? The ceramic logs are completely separate so you build it yourself each time. I may have to get Jane (LIAL flame warden and campfire wrangler) over to assemble it.

A Truce, Of Sorts

Scooters and I, we aren't friends. When I took a trip to BC last year, there was an unfortunate incident involving me crashing a scooter in the middle of an intersection. I was stuck on the ground underneath a scooter, cars stopped all around, my pink flannel pyjama pants torn, and my boobs going all over the place cause I wasn't wearing a bra (I had just woke up). The next day I had the ugliest bruise you have ever seen, that was the exact shape of the mirror that broke off the bike. So yeah, needless to say, we're not friends.

However, just because it didn't work out, that doesn't mean that I can't absolutely LOVE this Scooter Cutting Board at Elsewares.
